This past week just flew!!!!!! A lot has happened! We´re working hard waiting for most of our past investigators to come back to town from vacation!! Other than that this past week we had a special transfer in our district. So Elder Recca has been with us in a trio for the past few days!!! I love that guy, so much fun!! Other than that my birthday was great! Thank you for those that sent a email!! I cant believe I´m 20 with almost 8 months left in the mission. Time goes by fast, you have to take advantage of every second!!! Not much else for the week. This week its possible to receive transfers but who knows. Just got to wait and see.

Week 16 in Mejillones!!!
¡¡HOLA!!

It´s been a good week!!! Elder Kirk and I have been getting to work!! Its been hard the past while since everyone is gone for summer vacation, but we spent two days just purely looking for people and the rest of the week we had just days full of appointments so things are doing good here!! Working with Elder Kirk is the best! I love this guy, super fun to be around and we got a good bit of stuff in common so walking around in the sun ain´t too bad!

Cool story from this past week. So we were out in the tomas tuesday I believe, and we were passing around visiting people and our plans were just falling through. So we decided to go visit one part of the tomas that we didn't have plans to go to. So as we were there, and no one was answering their doors. So as we were leaving a little boy runs up to and says, ' Mi tío quiere hablar con ustedes!' (My uncle wants to talk to you!). So we follow this boy to his house and this man named Jimer is there with his wife outside and the man starts telling us a bunch of stories and how he´s been wanting to join a church lately. So we teach him, his wife, sister-in-law, and her two kids!!! And we asked them all if they want to get baptized and they all said yes! So right now we´re teaching them, and helping them prepare for baptism!!!! A great little miracle that we had!!!!!

I hope you all have a good week and that you can remember all the little blessings and miracles that happen in your daily life!!!

Con Amor,

"What I am suggesting and asking is that we turn from the negativism that so permeates our society and look for the remarkable good in the land and times in which we live, that we speak of one another’s virtues more than we speak of one another’s faults, that optimism replace pessimism. Let our faith replace our fears."

Week 15 in Mejillones!!
Hey fam!!

Great week! This week we changed pension where we are living and our new place is so much better! I love it! Things are going good in our sector. During this part of the year most people go on vacation so productivity goes down but we are managing where we are at! My companion Elder Kirk is super great! He's super funny and great to work with.

Real quick, I want to share a cool experience that happened this past week. We have an investigator that is super cool. One of my first weeks we found her and we've been teaching her for 3 months now. Recently after one of her family members got baptized, she gained the desire to be baptized. ( she always has but wanted to take more time) But with some different circumstances, she cant right now. So One day we explained to her about fasting and prayer, so after several days when she got back from work we went to her house to have a lesson. During it she told us that she had been fasting for 3 DAYS!!!! Only drinking water! She said she had the prompting to do it and for 3 days! Now some of the obstacles that have been stopping her from being baptized are resolving and she now has the baptismal date for the 18th this month!!!!!! Its been so great to see the progress in her and I cant wait to see here get baptized! I hope you all have a good week and that the Lord blesses you!!

Week 13 in Mejillones!!!
Hola!!!!!!!!

Whats up!?!? Been a good past week. Last week I was assigned my newbie, Elder Kirk. Straight from the 'Mother Land', Salt Lake City Utah. He's a great guy with a lot to learn but that's all right. He's off a lot better than I was!! The past week we saw a lot of difficulties but also some tender blessings. Also in our district we've seen some difficulties and its a big load trying to help everyone out while also helping a new guy have a good start in the mission. But I really have felt the comfort and help of the Lord this past week. Well I got to go but here's some pictures of my comp and a sweet BBQ we had!!! Take care!!

Next her mom and her boyfriend, they just need to get married! Other than that we received transfers!!! Elder Clark left to Calama and I'll be staying in Mejillones! My new companion will be a newbie. This transfer I'll be training as district leader in Mejillones! Its gonna be fun y vamos a bautizar!!!! I'm super excited and I know we are going to see a lot of success! My last district leader taught me a lot of things and I just hope I'll be able to help other missionaries see the same success in there missions as I have. Well next week you'll be getting some pictures of my new comp. and hopefully another baptism picture too! I hope everyone is well and that you'll enjoy your week!
